Mufutau Muyiwa is a PhD candidate and associate lecturer at the University of Erfurt. He obtained a BA in mass communication (Olabisi Onabanjo University), an MA in media and communication science (Ilmenau University of Technology), and an MA in global communication: politics and society (University of Erfurt). He specializes in African political communication, media counterflows between Africa and the West, and the neocolonial character of Western higher education.
